Agrinos’ Wagner and Venkatramesh Among Presenters at Microbiome AgBioTech Europe

DAVIS, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2017)—Dr. Ry Wagner, Agrinos CEO, and Mylavarapu Venkatramesh, Agrinos vice president of research and development of biological crop nutrition, have been selected to speak at the upcoming Microbiome AgBioTech Europe in London on September 20 – 21. The conference brings industry experts together to discuss discovery research, the development of consistent and cost-effective microbial-based products, and transitioning value from the laboratory to the growers’ field.

Dr. Ry Wagner, Agrinos Chief Executive Officer

Wagner will participate in a discussion titled Integrating Microbials with Standard Agricultural Practice: Meeting Growers’ Needs. The conversation will focus on integrated solution strategies that include seed, chemical and biological selections. It will also address the outlook for microbial product adoption in an agricultural setting that has been dominated by chemicals.

Mylavarapu Venkatramesh, Agrinos Vice President of Research and Development of Biological Crop Nutrition

Venkatramesh’s presentation, Plant Microbiome to Improve Crop Productivity, will explore the critically complex role the soil microbial community plays in plant nutrition and crop productivity. He will review the tools and strategies required to effectively design a microbial consortium-based product, and the validation of microbial consortia-based products through laboratory and field testing.

The soil microbiome plays an important role in enhancing crop productivity. “There is currently tremendous investment in this space, providing many innovative solutions to help growers around the globe. We look forward to participating in a forum designed to help meet the growing global demand for sustainable food production,” said Venkatramesh.

Venkatramesh joined Agrinos in 2014, bringing over 33 years of experience in plant pathology, soil microbiology, plant biochemistry and metabolic engineering.

Dr. Wagner has served as chief executive officer of Agrinos since 2014. Under his leadership, Agrinos has become a worldwide leader in developing novel biological solutions to improve crop yield, health and quality.
